LPDDR3 is a low power memory device standard which introduces several key new technologies over it’s predecessor, LPDDR2.

As a result of it’s power efficiency, it is suited to smartphone, tablet, and laptop devices.

This class of RAM went mainstream in 2013, running at 800 MHz DDR (1600 MT/s).
